Our Services:

 

Provision of temporary relief housing, food, clothes and many more to abused, battered, neglected mothers, children, single mothers with babies, school children and women, abandoned elderly, poor homeless families who have no place to go.

Present programs focusing on the development of life skills and successful placement in the community. They need the involvement of the community and business sector that allows them to capacitate through development, training, mentoring, empowerment and educational programs. The major portion of our work is with “Hands of Hope”. We promote the work of the Lochvaal Emfuleni Welfare and its impact of services for the destitute residents.

Baby, Child and Youth Care: 

Providing training in baby feeding to prevent malnutrition, health care training for single mothers, therapy and evaluation with educational programs. Ensuring that all basic needs of children are met. Our goal is to make sure that no child would go hungry, that all children would go to school and be transported safely, get access to health facilities, have shelter, counseling and trauma debriefing, would have the relevant documentation and most important be loved, cared for and looked after. To keep the youth from dangerous places such as bars, taverns, night clubs etc. Committed to the promotion of children’s rights, their protection, their safety and healthy development. The number of children reached through our shelter confirms that we do make a difference in the quality of life of most vulnerable in our society. Day care for babies, toddlers and pre-school, after school services for primary school children, statutory services regard to children. Advocate for the development of children. Assure the relevance of legislation to protect and enhance life for children.

Old Age Care:

Improvement of the quality of life of the elderly, by rendering the following services – the provision of food, accommodation, health services, improvement of socializing and personal care. Housing for needy elderly and disabled persons who receive social pensions.

Parent Guidance:

Guiding parents in baby, child and youth care, parenthood counseling, nutrition and malnutrition, managing finances, cooking skills, food preparation, short/long-term counseling and motivation.

Family Care: 

Providing food, transport to and from schools, bus fees, health services and educational development to families staying in the area.

Mental and Physical Disabled Persons:

We provide care, food and shelter to the mental and physical disabled persons, people living with hiv and aids and also persons with tuberculosis. Transport to and from clinics and hospitals are also provided. We don't receive any subsidy from the state and are solely dependent on the community for donations and financial assistance.  

Baby, Child and Youth Care:
The “Hands of Hope” Project which continues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year assist in:
Providing training in baby feeding,
Education in malnutrition,
Guiding them with nutritional improvement,
Health care training for single mothers,
Therapy and evaluation with educational programs (and)
Ensuring that all basic needs of children are met.

Our goal is to make sure that:
No child would go hungry or sleep cold,
All children would go to school and be educated with safe transport,
All children would have access to health facilities with transport,
All children would have shelter,
All children in need of counseling and trauma debriefing receive it,
All children would have the relevant documentation
All children be loved, cared for and looked after.
