                                                                         Our Needs
We come to you today with a request to open your heart to children and battered mothers whom we have in our care. Poor, hungry and homeless, these vulnerable children, battered woman and single mothers as well as rejected elderly and homeless families are in dire need of support. We are a registered NPO with the department of social development, and it is our mission here at  Lochvaal Emfuleni Welfare to protect and care for our community’s most vulnerable. 
Due to the high increase of abused, battered, neglected mothers and children, single mothers with babies and women the organisation cares for average 155 destitute residents in 2020. As a welfare family care organisation we focus on the accommodation, caring, well-being of these destitute in need. They arrive from situations of domestic violence, staying in the veld for a time, being on the road for days, arriving with nothing or not even fulfilling their basic need.
We don’t receive any support from the government. As we are registered as a

  • Registered Child Protection Organization: Child Justice Act 75 of 2008; Children's Act, 38 of 2005 and Child Care Amendment Act (Act 96 of 1996) of the South African Constitution
we please implore for your support in assisting to battle poverty, hunger and trauma to make a life changing difference in their lives. We’d love to give them the best possible environment to feel safe and comfortable, have memories of joy, love and care.
 
We are currently in desperate need of the following:
 
  1. Finances to supply our 24 school children with winter clothes.
  2. Milk and nappies for our 4 babies.
  3. Beds and mattresses as well as blankets.
  4. Food parcels of any kind is always most welcome.
  5. Building materials as we are always trying to expand so we can help more needy mothers and children.
